I'm an Invited Assistant at ISCTE, a public University in Lisbon, Portugal, and I currently teach the following courses of the Computer Science Engineering degree:
- Introduction to Programming (1st year)
- Systems Information Flows (1st year)
- Algorithms and Data Structures (2nd year)
I'm also a PhD student at ISCTE of Artificial Intelligence, with a PhD scholarship grant provided by FCT (Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology). My work focuses on doing research on Resource Coordination in Unstructured Open Agent Societies.
My research work is done under the scope of the Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems lab of ADETTI-ISCTE. My main fields of research are Intelligent Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, which are part of the wider research area of Artificial Intelligence. You can check my publications and my work on national and European projects at our website.
I've received a MSc degree for my research work on agent technology for context-aware execution of semantic web services, more specifically, the development of SEA (Service Execution Agent), a semantic web services execution agent that uses context information to adapt the execution process to a specific situation, thus improving its effectiveness and providing a better service.
I also like to experiment new technologies and new ways of interacting with the technology world. The main areas where I've been learning and doing some research on my own time are GPS/Mapping technology and Image Segmentation. You can check some of that work on the Software & Applications section.
